Description
Tranquillity Bay Care is a Rest Home with fantastic sea views over Parua Bay and out to the Whangarei Heads. We are located on top of a hill with a pine forest in our backyard filled with quail and pheasants giving us a different outlook at every turn of the head.

We believe that the more we care, the more beautiful life becomes.

Tranquillity has all the warmth, caring and family atmosphere you expect from the place you call home.

It is the hardest thing to put a family member into a rest home. We are here to support you and your family member the best we can. Feel safe and confident that your loved one is being looked after and take the pressure off yourself and your family. We are here to listen and talk things through on what is best for the person concerned.

We also have fun with special events throughout the year. An awesome day for us was when the Hot rod club brought their old classic cars up for our Vintage Day Party. Smiles and memories in abundance.

Interests & Activities
All the activities are voluntary and designed to help people relax and enjoy a community spirit whether they are joining in or watching from the side.

We have a dedicated "Activities Co-ordinator" and a planned Activity programme. The residents enjoy going out on regular trips in our van to local destinations. We have regular shopping days in town as well as regular excursions to specific events and concerts in the Whangarei area.

As we live in a wonderful, beach environment we spend time in the summer down on the beach having barbecues next to the incoming tide.

Many of our residents have lived in this area all their lives and enjoy having visits from nearby friends and family. We actively encourage a close, family environment.

We have a very motivated Activities Co-ordinator who designs and runs the Activity Programmes, both general and individualised for specific residents.
