Special Features
Special Features
Teviot Valley Rest Home opened in April 2004. It is situated in the old Roxburgh Hospital. The Medical Centre operates out of the same building, as do the District Nurses and the physiotherapist, making access to these services readily available through an intyerconnecting door

It is owned by the local community, and is run by a Trust. It receives very strong support from the community, in the form of fresh fruit and produce, handyman services, outings, and social events. Contact with the children from the school across the road and the local preschool is encouraged, and is enjoyed by residents and children alike.

A very friendly, homely atmosphere is generated, as visitors tend to know all the residents, and as a result everybody enjoys a visit, not just one resident.
