Queen Rose Retirement Home is a 29 bed boutique rest home level facility owned by a family of shareholders: Graham & Donnesse McBratney and Andrew & Myrtle Brown. The owners have been in the care industry since 1985 and have a wealth of experience, which is available to our clientele.

We are committed to providing Quality Care and a service with an emphasis on maintaining a strong sense of dignity and independence for residents with varying physical challenges.

We believe that all care and service must be delivered with compassion, professionalism and empathy and within the practice of Quality Assurance.

To show our commitment to our clients and their care we have 2 Registered Nurses giving us 7 day a week cover on duty.
Our caregivers possess Level, 2, 3 or 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing from Careeerforce, or equivalent.

Queen Rose Rest Home is situated at 63 Queens Drive, St Kilda, Dunedin. We are between St Kilda beach and Countdown and within walking distance to both.

We look forward to showing you around our facility.

We also have a storage and purpose built charging shed for mobility scooters.

Hairdresser 6 Yes Our Hairdresser, Kay, comes in every Thursday morning. This is a service that each resident pays for privately. You are welcome to use Kay's service or have your own hairdresser come in to Queen Rose to do your hair.

Staffing qualifications and details The staff are of the mature age group and staff turnover is extremely rear. Excellent care and high standard of upto date training is a requirement of ALL staff.
Details about meals All meals produced fresh each day. Breakfast in bed. Fresh baking each day. Individual meal sizes available.
Associated Complexes Fees as per Govt fee, and SDHB contracts. NO add ons.
