Given the current COVID-19 environment we have temporarily disabled our ‘feedback’ feature. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Thank you for your interest in Oakwoods Lifecare. We would be very pleased to show you around our lovely care facility and welcome any questions you may have. We have 12 acres of beautiful grounds and gardens here at Oakwood's Village including 92 independent villa's, 43 studios and apartments in addition to the care facility catering to resthome and hospital level of care. Our single private rooms are light and airy and most have an en-suite. A new "Nurse Call' Alert system was installed in 2014 and together with full sprinkler systems ensuring that your safety is our number one priority. Our extra wide corridors and doors allow easy wheelchair and walker access. Your room is also wired for TV and your own personal phone.
Many relatives write to us saying that their loved ones are happier and healthier now that their on-going care is in good hands. Residents themselves often say, "now I don't have to worry about things" and that is because they can really relax in caring, safe surrounds. We want you to feel at home, safe and secure, with the assurance that your needs come first.
When you move to Oakwoods Village you will be assessed by our care team. These are the people who will be taking care of you and working with you and your family to help identify your needs. A simple plan, tailored just for you, gives everybody including us a better idea of how to enhance your well-being and how best to meet your needs. Your individual care plan is updated and checked on a regular basis.
Steve Davis our Facility Manager and Roelie Luten (RN) our Nurse Manager lead a team of dedicated staff to oversee the care to our residents. All have a wide range of nursing and clinical management experience and enjoy sharing their knowledge with other staff allowing them to continually increase their skill base.

It is our philosophy at Oakwoods Lifecare to promote a quality lifestyle for our residents in a supportive environment, encouraging our residents to maintain independence in a safe and comfortable care setting. All residents are treated as individuals, shown patience, dignity and respect.

Over the years there have been many changes in care of the elderly. Oakwoods Lifecare will continue to strive to provide excellence in the nursing and personal care to those individuals who wish to join our happy home in their twilight years

After a period living independently in Oakwoods Village, it became apparent that my mother required the extra support that the Rest Home facility would offer. Mum is now in her fifth year in the care facility and has been wonderfully looked after throughout this period. The staff have been very attentive and sensitive to Mum's needs and very accommodating of any concerns or questions that I have ever had. As 'next of kin' I have always felt very welcome and part of the Oakwoods 'family'.
