The Julia Wallace Retirement Village is named after one of Palmerston North's most distinguished citizens and provides a full range of retirement living options along with the very best of resthome, hospital and dementia care from our friendly, caring staff.

The village is located in the prestigious Clearview Park subdivision, off Milson's Lane.

The village features the latest designs in retirement living providing Independent Townhouses, Serviced Apartments, Resthome, Hospital and Dementia Care set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens.

The resort-style facilities include and all-weather bowling green, indoor heated swimming pool, spa, library with internet, hair and beauty salon, shop, bar, gym, and so much more for residents to enjoy.

The modern design concept, together with friendly, caring staff, means residents enjoy the very best of retirement living.

Registered Nurse Yes Our resthome has a full time registered nurse dedicated to this area, as well as a highly skilled Clinical Manager, who overviews the clinical care of all residents in the resthome.

Healthcare Assistants/Caregivers Yes As much as possible, the same caregivers will care for you each shift so they will get to know you well. All our caregivers are supported to undertake training in care of the older person.
Physiotherapist Negotiable There is a physiotherapist who visits our facililty regularly and will review residents as required.
Activities Co-ordinator Yes We have a dedicated Activities Coordinator in the resthome who works 5 days per week and delivers a wide range of activities for the resident to participate in should they wish.

Rooms (Suit Couple) No Although we do not have rooms for couples we make every effort in trying to place a couple as near together as possible if they so wish.

Associated Complexes Julia Wallace Retirement Village is one of eighteen and the only one in the Manawatu. It is a member of the Ryman Healthcare Group. Six time winners of the Australasian Aged Care Housung Awards for "Best Retirement Village in New Zealand."
