About Athenree Life

Athenree Life logo

Located at the water’s edge of picturesque Shelly Bay Estuary, Athenree Life is your calming home by the sea, providing rest home, memory care, hospital level, day care and respite services.

We are located between Katikati and Waihi, positioning us at an accessible distance from both BOP and Waikato/Coromandel Peninsula regions.

We are proudly part of Sound Care Group, with five homes in New Zealand that offer holistic care for older people.

Welcome to our home and experience our Culture of Care, where we take every encounter as an opportunity to make you feel genuinely cared for.

Y.O.U. Plan (Your Own Unique Care Plan)

We plan your care with you and your family from the start and consider your choices at the heart of what we do. Your needs are uniquely your own and your personalised care plan is a recognition of this.

Stay connected and active

You have always lived your life with purpose and passion, and you can stay that way at our home. We design activities that keep you physically active and connected to your loved ones and the community. Our spacious rooms provide the space for both privacy and the level of care you need. While our generous lounge and secure garden area are places for enjoying friendships and views of nature.

Be nurtured and nourished

Our team of managers, nurses, caregivers and support staff are all qualified, highly trained, and share a true passion for aged care. It’s the same level of care that goes into every nutritious meal deliciously prepared by our in-house chef, and weekly plan of activities that considers your personal preferences.

Contact us to arrange a visit. We’d love to show you our home.
