At Amberwood we offer flexible short-term care options to support both residents and their families. This includes respite care for those needing temporary support, carer support service to give families caregivers a break and day stay care, where seniors can enjoy social activities, meals and professional supervision for part of the day. These services provide peace of mind, helping families maintain balance while ensuring loved ones receive quality care in a safe , welcoming environment .
We provide palliative care for residents with life limiting conditions. Our dedicated team focuses on comfort, dignity and quality of life, offering comprehensive symptom management, emotional support and compassionate end of life care . We work with Hospice and families to ensure their loved ones are supported physically, emotionally and spiritually, creating a calm and caring environment during their important time
Accommodation Options

We offer a standard room designed to meet the essential needs of residents without extra charges. A standard room provides single private living space with a hospital style bed, wardrobe , heating, wash basin, chair and some personal furniture giving residents both privacy and a sense of their own space. For safety and convenience rooms are fitted with a call bell system for immediate assistance along with power outlets and Tv port for entertainment set up. These rooms are part of the base rate and do not include additional premium features like ensuites. While simple in layout, standard rooms still allow you to personalise the space with your own belongings so it feels familiar and homely and they're supported by the facilities overall care environment, including 24/7 nursing support and easy access to communal areas and activities .

What's included in your fees and what's not?
Additional Costs beyond the standard care fees - include
one off clothes labelling, routine podiatry service unless the resident has diabetes, in which case podiatry is usually covered, some van outings or special trips, hairdresser service and premium rooms.

Details about meals
All meals are cooked fresh on site, offering residents warm, homely food prepared in the facilities own kitchen. The menu is designed by a dietician to be nutritious and balanced, with special meal provided to meet individual needs including modified textures and medical and cultural requirements. A second meal option is always available and it is vegetarian, ensuring choice at every main meal . Residents enjoy freshly baked morning and afternoon tea, along with weekly highlights such as traditional Sunday roast and Wednesday carvery creating a welcoming family style dining experience. The home also celebrates special events and themed occasions. For added comfort and flexibility meals can be severed in the residents room. A coffee machine is available 24/7 for residents and visitors to enjoy any time .
