Rooms suitable for a couple Yes There are four large rooms suitable for couples. Some single rooms have shared ensuites which would also be suitable for couples.

Shops 0.30 Km 1/2 km. The Opawa Shopping Centre has a chemist, Doctor's Surgery, dairies, butcher, cafe, Fish and Chip as well as other shops.
Mall 3.50 Km Eastgate and Barrington Malls are the nearest to Kowhai. Both are on the Orbiter bus route.
Parks 0.30 Km 1/2 km, The Heathcote River and park is just over the road at the front of the Rest Home.
Library 0.30 Km Opawa Library is nearby and has re-opened following the earthquakes. The Christchurch South Library is closed at present.
