Other services
When it comes to everyday life, Chiswick Park makes it easy with rest home, hospital, day care and respite care. The well-appointed rest home rooms all look out onto our delightful gardens or courtyards and come complete with WiFi and a call bell system. The spacious hospital rooms are all furnished with ensuites.
Part of the Manawatu community for over twenty years, Chiswick Park is set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens just a hop, skip and
jump from the local shopping centre at Awapuni where you’ll find a library and pharmacy. Add five minutes to that, and you’re
in the heart of Palmerston North.
With everything from physiotherapy to podiatry and hairdressing to health checks, when it comes to additional services, you name it,
we’ve got it. We offer a range of recreational activities including gardening, walking, quizzes, and social gatherings. Our facility
van is also always on hand for outings.
But don't just take our word for it, see what our resident Bev has to say...
Married to Bob at 17, Bev’s artistic talents helped her get a job as a ticket writer in a big department store. Three children later, Bev took on a role she loved at Barnado’s, helping out mums who weren’t coping. She has been at Chiswick Park since 2016.
When it came to finding a rest-home with exceptional care facilities, Bev says she chose Chiswick Park “because there was a lot of positive word of mouth.” It also helps that Bob lives in the family home not far from here and visits often with their dog, Tinker.
What is it that she enjoys most about Chiswick Park? “Well, I’ve made some new friends – staff and residents – and I find if I smile, people smile back, it’s a neat feeling. I love the contact with people, I feel very looked after and respected.”
For Bev, a better everyday is because of the staff here – “I can’t thank them enough for their love and care. It means a lot to me being included in conversations and I like a laugh. I’ve got a lot to thank this place for.”

Testimonials
"Our Family would like to say a huge thanks to all the people who work so hard to provide such wonderful care and support for our mum. Mum has been with you for several years now and she is always happy and comfortable in your care. Your staff are always cheerful, they say hello when we arrive and we always see them treat mum with respect and dignity. It is not an easy job to care for the elderly and we have the utmost admiration for the work you do for mum and the other residents of Chiswick Park. Thanks for everything you do hope that 2018 is wonderful and rewarding for everyone at Chiswick Park." - John (Son of Chiswick Park Resident) |
