Description
Our overall mission is to promote social justice through partnerships that strengthen families and build fair and safe communities.

Our facility has a focus on dignity, independence and opportunities for older people in a range of affordable and secure accommodation.

Fran the facility manager has been in her role over 20 years and is well experienced in running the facility.

Registered Nurse Yes We have two experienced Clinical Nurse Managers who work full time Monday to Friday on each floor. We always have registered nurses on site 24/7. All our registered nurses have substantial experience in caring for the elderly and palliative care.
Enrolled Nurse Yes We have three very skilled enrolled nurses, two full time and one part time.
Healthcare Assistants/Caregivers Yes Our staff are friendly and always there to help out, many have been here for over 15 years - a testimony of a stable workforce
Physiotherapist Yes We have a contracted physio that comes in two days a week as well as two physio aides who work full-time under her direction.
Social Worker (on site) Yes We have access to a large number of qualified social workers through our Christchurch Methodist Misson community services team.
Diversional Therapist Yes We have two qualified Diversonal Therapists and one Activity Coordinator. We have musicians, hand crafts, housie, ten pin bowling and other activities weekly.

Hairdresser Yes We have a beautiful new hair salon and two hairdressers are available across three days a week.

Dietitian Yes We have access to a Community Dietitian as required.
Accredited Visitors Yes Through Age Concern, Foundation for the Blind, Arthritis Society, MS Society and our own group of regular volunteers.
Kaumatua Yes The Methodist Mission have a long standing partnership relationship with Te Whatu-Manawa Maoritanga O Rehua Marae, since its inception as Rehua Hostel in 1952.
Chaplain/Spiritual Advisor Yes We have an in-house Chaplain who coordinates a team of ministers and lay people from various denominations. We have services on Wednesdays and Sundays in our chapel. There is a monthly Catholic Mass, weekly communion visits to Catholic residents.
Other Personnel Yes We have a full-time weekday receptionist Katherine and part time weekend receptionist Kimberly who welcomes all. We use Nurse Maude's Palliative team for advice and support. . We also have an Ear Nurse who visits when required.
