Ultimate Care Oakland provides a full continuum of care in its rest home and hospital facilities ensuring that ongoing health requirements can be easily managed. The adjoining Oakland Lodge (Independent Living) offering independent and assisted living (see our Retirement Villages ('Purchase') page).

Residents, family, staff and visitors say, "There’s a real sense of community here". We have communal living areas where residents can spend time together relaxing and catching up, an open door policy for friends and families to visit and we promote individual choice and participation in all aspects of our residents lives .

All of our friendly nurses are specialists in aged care and we provide personal care plans along with tailor-made activity programmes. We can also accommodate couples in the same room. If you have a small pet, let us know, they may be able to reside here with you.

The original villa dates back to the 1800's and has a unique ambience.

Palliative Care (Contracted) No Although we do not have a palliative care contract. All of our residents receive the highest possible standard of care at their time of need.

Dialysis No Dialysis is indeed a specialty. We are not able to offer support with this at this time.

May Bring Own Furniture Yes Residents are encouraged to bring any items that make their room homely, including any pieces of furniture they may want. They will need to bring a TV for their room if they require one.

Rooms suitable for a couple Yes We have a couple of rooms that would accommodate a couple. We can also have different levels of care. One could require rest home level and one hospital level. Please enquire

Details about Meals Our 4 weekly rotating menu is reviewed by a Dietician and prepared fresh daily, onsite to meet the preferences of all our residents. On admission we record likes and dislikes and preferences.
Staffing Qualifications and Details Our friendly and trained staff can care for you and your family to give peace of mind to everyone. The staff is led by our onsite Facility Manager - Lesley Sparke, Clinical Services Manager - Carolyn Gilmour and our R.N's. They are supported by National Office at Ultimate Care Group Ltd who have extensive experience and expertise in the Residential Health Sector and therefore understand the complexities and requirements of our residents.
Associated Complexes We are a part of the Ultimate Care Group of facilities - 17 facilities throughout New Zealand. We are supported by our National Office in Wellington and Head Office in Auckland.
