Description
Management and staff at Ultimate Care Oakland are committed to providing a high standard of individualised holistic care to all Residents. The facility is set in a wonderful native woodland setting, with surrounding Oak trees and beautiful gardens. The original villa dates back to the 1800's and has a unique ambience. We provide long and short term care, respite care and are skilled in palliative care.

Physiotherapist Yes We have a physiotherapist that is contracted to work Tuesdays and Thursday at the facility.
Occupational Therapist No If an occupational therapist is required, we will source one from the DHB based on the individual needs of each resident
Own Social Worker No We can easily request the social work services from the Needs Assessment teams in the community.
Diversional Therapist Yes We have a full time Divertional Therapist who works on site with her team Monday to Friday. We have a great activities programme
Activities Co-ordinator Yes Our activities co-coordinator assists the Diverstional Therapist to deliver a fantastic activities programme
Hairdresser Yes We have a hairdresser that comes on site each Thursday every week.
Podiatrist Yes We have a podiatrist that conducts monthly visits and they are each Thursday.
Dietitian Yes All of our menu's are approved by a dietitian. We refer any residents that we are concerned about eating well to the DHB dietician

Palliative Care Contract No Although we do not have a palliative care contract. All of our residents receive the highest possible standard of care at their time of need.
End of Life/Palliative Care’ Yes We have a close relationship with Waipuna Hospice. Our registered nurses are trained to deliver the best care for our residents at the end stage of life.
Gastronomy/Nasogastric Management Yes We are able to manage and resident that requires any Gastro/Nasogastric care.
Oxygen Management Yes If oxygen is prescribed we have a team of registered nurses who can ensue this is managed as required.
Surgical Followup Yes If you have recently had surgery and need to recover or rehabilitate we can meet your needs.

Negotiate To Bring Own Pet Yes We are pet friendly and animals are permitted at the discretion of the Facility Manager. All pets must be well behaved and if the resident goes on holiday at any time the pet must be placed in pet accommodation for the period of holiday.

Details re Meals Our 6 weekly rotating menu is reviewed by a Dietician and prepared fresh daily, onsite to meet the preferences of all our residents. On admission we record likes and dislikes and preferences.
Staffing Details Our friendly and trained staff can care for you and your family to give peace of mind to everyone. The staff is led by our onsite Facility Manager - Anne Bruning, Clinical Services Manager - Wendy Ellerson and our R.N's. They are supported by National Office at Ultimate Care Group Ltd who have extensive experience and expertise in the Residential Health Sector and therefore understand the complexities and requirements of our residents.
Associated Complexes We are a part of the Ultimate Care Group of facilities - 18 facilities throughout New Zealand. We are supported by our National Office in Wellington.
