Agecare Central Limited is a locally owned Charitable Organisation operating both Maryann Home, Hospital Dementia Unit and Marire Home. It has a strong community focus and commitment to the care of the elderly.

Registered Nurse Yes Our highly trained and experienced RN's provide 24/7 onsite cover. Regular training is given to all members of our RN team to ensure they remain skilled in all areas and are able to provide the best evidence based care to our residents.
Nurse Practitioner Yes The residents at Maryann are lucky to have the support of a Nurse Practitioner Wendy Walsh from Third Age Health.
Enrolled Nurse Yes We have a very experienced EN who works alongside the RNs to care for the residents at Maryann home
Healthcare Assistants/Caregivers Yes The caregivers at Agecare Central have a high level of regular training to keep them up to date with evidenced based best practice. Lots of our caregivers hold a current Level 4 certificate. All of our residents working in our Dementia unit hold a dementia care qualification
Physiotherapist Yes We have a physio who comes to the home once per week
Occupational Therapist Negotiable We are able to arrange for a Occupational Therapist to visit if required by the resident.
Social Worker (on site) No We are provided Social worker support from the social worker team at Taranaki Base Hospital.
Diversional Therapist Yes We have a fully qualified Divisional Therapist.
Activities Co-ordinator Yes At Maryann home we offer activities 7 days a week.
Hairdresser Yes We provide an onsite Salon and the hairdresser visits weekly. If residents prefer we are able to arrange for them to also visit one of many local hair salons.
Podiatrist Yes We have a Registered Podiatrist who visits 6 weekly or sooner if required.
Dietitian Yes All our menu's have Dietitian over site and advise. They are closely monitored by the Dietitian to ensure they meet nutritional standards and maintain a good variety of meals. Food is available to all residents 24 hours a day.

Kaumatua Yes We have close links we our local Kaumatua. They are always willing and welcomed to come to the home if a resident/whanau wishes them to.
Chaplain/Spiritual Advisor Yes Spiritual advisors are available for our residents and religious denominations also visit on a regular basis.
Other Personnel Negotiable At Maryann home we have close links to Hospice Taranaki. We are able to provide palliative/comfort cares to our residents. All our palliative care residents receive regular visits and support from the Hospice nurses and where required Hospice Dr's.
