The Julia Wallace Retirement Village is named after one of Palmerston North's most distinguished citizens and provides a full range of retirement living options along with the very best of resthome, hospital and dementia care from our friendly, caring staff.

The village is located in the prestigious Clearview Park subdivision, off Milson's Lane.

The village features the latest designs in retirement living providing Independent Townhouses, Serviced Apartments, Resthome, Hospital and Dementia Care set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens.

The resort-style facilities include and all-weather bowling green, indoor heated swimming pool, spa, library with internet, hair and beauty salon, shop, bar, gym, and so much more for residents to enjoy.

Registered Nurse Yes A registered nurse is avaliable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week providing expect aged care nursing.
Enrolled Nurse Yes The enrolled nurses support the Registered Nurse in her role to provide quality care.
Diversional Therapist Yes We currently have 2 diversional therapists who have a passion for older people. They provide an extensive programme of activities each month.
Activities Co-ordinator Yes Our activities co-ordinator looks after our independent residents offereing them a broad programme of activities, socialising and networking.
Hairdresser Yes We have 2 hairdressers who are very experienced catering for the older persons needs. They are very aware of the logisitics of getting to the saloon and make the experience very comfortable.
Podiatrist Yes The podiatrist visits on a 6 weekly basis and appointments can be made through the rest home.
Dietitian Yes All our meals have been carefully planned through a nutritionalist to provide a balanced and healthy diet. We actively listen to the needs of our residents and try to cater for those special needs. We communicate with the hospital dietitians for advice.

Whanau Room Yes We have a whanau room available that offers family and visitors the opportunity to have time out, make a cup of tea or coffee or make private phone calls. Simply ask our staff and we will always do our best to assist our families at anytime.
Rooms (Single) Yes All our rooms are single with ensuite. The rooms are beautifully proportioned and furnished with an electric bed, bedside cabinet and low boy as well as a wardrobe. There is a call bell beside the bed and ensuite
Rooms (Suit Couple) Yes We have a number of large rooms that could be used to accommodate a couple. Simply check with Ros to ascertain the availability of these rooms.

Associated Complexes Julia Wallace Retirement Village is one of eighteen and the only one in the Manawatu. It is a member of the Ryman Healthcare Group. Six time winners of the Australasian Aged Care Housung Awards for "Best Retirement Village in New Zealand."
