Edenvale is a Church Trust Home. It has been established in Mt Eden since 1968. Following major renovations the home is a modern, warm and inviting facility. Residents have access to lovely gardens, courtyard with level decking, chairs and table settings around a peaceful flowing water feature. Also provided are garden plots for residents to grow their own flowers or vegetables. Edenvale is situated in a quiet area of Mt Eden which compliments its tranquil setting. Edenvale provides Rest Home & Hospital Care. All our rooms are dual service. Our small homely dementia unit provides a safe sunny environment for the elderly who require secure dementia care. Come and visit us and see our lovely happy home.

Special Features
Edenvale's large open lounge is the main focal and gathering point for all residents, family and visitors. Our Wednesday concert is a popular event which families came and enjoy and join residents and staff dancing to the popular music. After the fun and laughter a quite cup of tea is enjoyed by all. Our hospital and dementia residents join the fun. Our new gardens showcase NZ Native plants and is a lovely area for residents to sit quietly and enjoy the peacefulness of the neighbourhood. |

Interests & Activities
Activity programme Varied Activities are organised throughout the week. Activities includes outings, weekly bus trips, concerts, exercises, games, collage, crafts, board games, bingo, cards and walks plus many more. Friday morning devotional service and a Sunday afternoon service is held in the main lounge and residents may attend if they wish. A resident's garden is maintained by keen gardner's who grow vegetables and flowers. The keen gardeners trim plants, sweep paths and generally able to help in the gardens. A womens Auxiliary group holds a monthly birthday party for those residents who are having birthday during the month. On their birthday the auxiliary ladies bring in a gift. A special birthday cake is organised for morning tea, everyone signs "happy birthday" and the candles are blown out. |

Staffing qualifications and details | General Manager is supported by a Clinical Leader, Registered Nurses, experienced Nurse Aids and activities co-ordinator make up the care team. One of the important features which we are proud of is are long serving staff, which supports our stable work environment and provides our residents with a consistency, therefore building good relationships between staff and residents. Our support staff consist of administrator, cleaner and maintenance staff. Our catering is under contract to Medirest who provide on-site cooks who cook our delicious home made baking and meals. | |
