At Dunblane Lifecare, we are proud to offer personalised hospital-level care and have the largest dementia care unit in Tairawhiti. We are the largest aged care facility north of the Gisborne CBD. Dunblane in Gisborne has the capacity to provide rest home level care to 26 seniors, and 34 hospital care beds. Our dedicated and experienced team are here to attend to both your everyday and urgent requirements. Staff provide individualised personal daily care to all rest home and hospital residents. We believe in providing personable, compassionate, safe, respectful care, adding value to the quality of everyday living.

We know it is very important to offer choices and to really listen to what our residents and their families want. Recognising the individual needs of our residents and to promote a friendly and comfortable environment is an important part of our philosophy. Family members are actively encouraged to be involved in the care of their loved one. Respecting the dignity, beliefs and culture of all helps us make each day the best it can be.

Residents can enjoy sunny courtyards, award-winning gardens and the convenience of being close to Gisborne's main shopping area and library. There is also a bus stop at our front entrance. We would be delighted to have the opportunity to talk with you about our care. Please phone our Facility Manager, or feel free to drop in at any time.

"Firstly I want to thank you all for your time and the respect you gave me last week when I was visiting Dunblane. It is very much appreciated and I feel so grateful for the care and concern you have for my dear mother. Once again I reiterate that we are all so thankful to the staff of Dunblane for the way you look after our Mum and I am overwhelmed at the love and compassion she receives from her carers. I can not thank you enough.” - Family of Dunblane Hospital Resident

'Dunblane is very family oriented, everyone seems to care for everyone else. The best thing was that I was able to have my cat, who has settled in well and is now spoilt by everyone. The rooms are nicely appointed, and I have an exceptionally nice room. My family is very pleased I've settled in so well.' - Mary Webb, Dunblane Hospital Resident
