Description
At Broadview Lifecare, we are proud to offer rest home, hospital, secure dementia care and mental health recovery care on the outskirts of Wanganui, in a beautiful rural setting. Our hospital is specially built for aged care needs. Our dedicated and experienced team are here to attend to both your everyday and urgent requirements.

Our recent renovation has created a combination of lovely interior bedrooms, shared living spaces and garden courtyards. They are sunny and bright, in the quiet of the country.

Our residents and their families comment on the homely feeling we have created here. Families are welcome at any time of the day, and are able to share a meal with their loved ones if arranged. (Our cooks have a fabulous reputation for their food!)

We often receive compliments from our residents and their families about the kindness of our staff, and the “little extras” that they so willingly do. We will try and accommodate personal requests to the best of our ability.

We make sure we get to know each of our residents well, using what we call the Map of Life. This helps us understand what has been important in each person’s life. It also helps us understand particular likes and dislikes, and each person’s preferences, so that we can give care and attention the way they like it, making every day the best it can be.

We know it is very important to offer choices and to really listen to what our residents and their families want. Making decisions together is a very important part of our philosophy. It helps us make each day the best it can be.

We also have a retirement village on the same site, which can make visiting a spouse easier.

We would be delighted to have the opportunity to talk with you about our care. Please phone Delwyn Gedye, our Care Home Manager, or feel free to drop in at any time.
