Care at Metlifecare is deeply personal and always personalised.
Our Aged Residential Care supports every resident to live a fulfilling life in a safe and welcoming setting that feels like home.
We take time to get to know you, so we can better support and care for you. We’ll develop a personalised care plan with you – to understand your preferences and help you to continue doing the things you love.
Your friends and family will always be welcome to spend time with you, and they can join in for meals and celebrations as well as pop in for a cup of tea and chat.
The need for care can be unpredictable, making it hard to guarantee that a care place will be available at times. Although we can’t always control availability, we encourage you to get in touch - we are here to help. People come first, always. That’s our Care Promise.

CARE AT THE ORCHARDS
The Orchards is a retirement village in Glenfield on Auckland’s North Shore. Recently complete, this boutique village offers retirement living set amongst beautiful grounds and gardens and is home to a community of residents that enjoy the benefits of the laid-back retirement lifestyle it offers.
Our care home provides rest home and hospital level care in care suites to residents who need extra help while empowering them to reach goals and facilitating a flexible care philosophy suited to individual needs.
Residents have access to beautiful landscaped gardens and a range of village amenities including historic Cox House Café perfect for gatherings with family and friends.
The Orchards has a clear purpose – to provide a supportive environment which empowers people to live the life they choose. As a Metlifecare village, we believe our resident-directed approach is one of our key points of difference for residents. They retain a higher level of independence and decision-making, and prolong their wider community connections and relationships. Our approach also means that the care provided to every resident may be different. To achieve this successfully, we employ people who genuinely connect with and support residents to provide what is needed.
