About Te Mana

Te Mana logo

Te Mana sits on Gatman Street in Birkdale, a peaceful, family-oriented neighbourhood on Auckland’s North Shore. With the lush native bush of Eskdale Reserve just moments away and easy access to local cafés, shops and community facilities, the area has a warm, residential feel that makes everyday life calm and convenient. The surroundings reflect a true sense of neighbourhood — a place where people know each other and connection comes naturally.
The centre provides Rest Home and Hospital care, delivered by a team known for their warmth, approachability and genuine commitment to residents and families. Te Mana has a distinctly family-friendly feel, with staff who take time to listen, support and build meaningful relationships. Rooms are comfortable and homely and shared spaces are inviting and easy to navigate, helping residents feel safe, relaxed and understood.
Families appreciate how welcoming Te Mana feels the moment they walk through the door. Whether combining visits with a wander through the nearby reserves or spending time together in the centre’s gardens and lounges, the experience is always supported by staff who treat residents and families like part of the Te Mana whānau. It is a warm, reassuring place to call home in the heart of Birkdale.
