Care at Metlifecare is deeply personal and always personalised.
Our Aged Residential Care supports every resident to live a fulfilling life in a safe and welcoming setting that feels like home.
We take time to get to know you, so we can better support and care for you. We’ll develop a personalised care plan with you – to understand your preferences and help you to continue doing the things you love.
Your friends and family will always be welcome to spend time with you, and they can join in for meals and celebrations as well as pop in for a cup of tea and chat.
The need for care can be unpredictable, making it hard to guarantee that a care place will be available at times. Although we can’t always control availability, we encourage you to get in touch - we are here to help. People come first, always. That’s our Care Promise.

CARE AT HIGHLANDS
Highlands is a place like no other. Part retirement village, part resort, part country club, it is a special place with a well-deserved reputation for its community and camaraderie.
If you or your loved ones are starting to struggle with life at home our serviced apartments provides the perfect balance between support and care.
"When Mum was still at home we'd have to spend time doing the vacuuming, the laundry and things like that. Now we come in, enjoy each other's company and make the most of every moment we have together," says daughter of a Serviced Apartment resident.
Highlands is nestled amongst 12 acres of established, flat gardens and beautiful walkways, and offers a retirement lifestyle like no other. With an excellent, picturesque location in the heart of Auckland's Eastern suburbs, and a selection of spacious, established units and apartments, our lucky residents certainly live the good life.
If you ever need greater daily support, we offer a full continuum of care, with a residential hospital and rest home on-site. Knowing that you will be treated with dignity and respect means you and your family can be confident you will receive the highest level of assistance from people you already know and trust. This also enables couples to stay close by even if your needs become different, with one moving into care while the other remains in the village.
Come and enjoy a relaxed lifestyle with like-minded people.
