Welcome to Chatswood Retirement Village. In late 2014 we opened our brand new Hospital wing, new kitchen, lounge and Retirement Village facilities. All of which are built with exceptional quality and design. Our new hospital rooms are spacious and well appointed, with individual en-suites.

We also offer full rest home level care in the original villa and existing buildings on site.

Our village manager Kyla Hurley, is supported by a skilled and experienced senior management team whom aim to deliver the very best in care and support to your loved ones. Kyla comes from a strong background of managing residential care facilities around New Zealand.

Residents are encouraged to maintain independence, creativity and individuality at Chatswood which is expressed through their surroundings and personal choice. We believe that each resident is a unique individual who is part of a family and community. Age is part of the life continuum.

Residents from all parts of the facility enjoy regular outings in the Chatswood Van which you may have seen out and about, especially with the warmer weather becoming more frequent. Make sure to give us a wave and say hello when you see us around!

An exciting new Chatswood development in mid 2017 will see the opening of our 11x brand new cares suites able to be purchased under ORA, where residents can received up to full hospital/palliative care in their own care suite.

We are very excited about the new changes here at Chatswood and encourage you to come and have a look around our facility located in Opawa, Christchurch.
