• are fully subsidised for aged residential care

Parkhaven Hospital is a multicultural hospital that prides itself on being sensitive to the needs of different cultures. We offer hospital level care, as well as specialist dementia care (in a separate wing). We are recognised widely within our community, by both health professionals and the families of our residents, for the quality of the compassionate care that we provide. We are also known for our sensitivity to the needs of different cultures.
Our spacious living areas offer a range of choices for relaxation, and we also have a number of gardens which our residents very much enjoy.
Parkhaven is 30 minutes south of Auckland city centre, close to the airport and has strong support and involvement from the Mangere, Manukau, Manurewa and Papatoetoe communities. Residents and visitors are welcomed by Parkhaven's pet cat, who sits proudly at the reception desk.
Our passion is to make each day as enjoyable as it can be, for each of our residents. We like to get to know each person’s individual likes and dislikes, so we can build the care we give and the activities we provide around this. We support each resident to be as independent as they are able, and enjoy Parkhaven as their home.
We welcome your enquiry and can help with the process of coming into a care home.
