Registered Nurse (eg Wound Care, Medication) No Yes No All initial assessments are performed by Clinical Coordinators who are registered nurses. They work with the clients & their families to ensure they understand & are fully informed about the services that we deliver.
Attendant Care (ACC) No Yes Yes Pacific Homecare are one of 6 national ACC providers of home-based care. We partner with NZ Royal District Nurses to deliver culturally appropriate & responsive care.
Live In Care (24 Hr) No Yes Yes 24-hour Respite support may be planned so that respite care is accessed on a regular basis for a pre-arranged time period, or it may be unplanned in times of emergency when overnight stays are required.
Personal Care (Showering, Dressing) No Yes No Personal care includes assisting clients in getting ready to face the start & the end of each day. E.g. showering, bathing, washing & drying hair, shaving, dressing & undressing, toileting, mobility, meal preparation & feeding through to complex care.

End of Life/Palliative Care Yes Our long-term clients choose to stay in their own homes & have Pacific Homecare staff continue to look after them in their last stages of life. We work closely with client families to ensure palliative care is holistic & culturally appropriate.
Diabetic Care. Yes We run separate workshops for our clients & Support Workers to improve awareness of the causes & the consequences of the disease & how together we can better manage the conditions through a focused indivdualised Care Plan.
Continence Advice Yes Our Support Workers are trained in assisting clients with personal hygiene & skin care issues associated with incontinence. Our Registered nurses oversee all care & link into associated continent community services for equipment & supplies.
Stomal Therapy Yes Our registered nurses train our Support Workers in stoma care on a one-to-one basis with our clients who require stoma care. There is a strong emphasis on hand hygiene and infection control.
Stroke Rehabilitation. Yes We have many clients recovering from a stroke, who are referred to us by the Ministry of Health. Each individual client Care Plan includes personalised goals & steps to promote rehabilitation which our carers assist with & monitor & report on progress.
Infection Control. Yes Our Infection Control Officers address all factors associated with the spread of infection including prevention (hand hygiene, cleaning/disinfection), monitoring, investigation & management; including ongoing training of staff, clients & their families.
Clinical Management Yes Our Clinical Coordinators ensure a high quality of service delivery through: • Supervising & training Carers • Assessing, planning, monitoring & reporting on service delivery • Working with affiliated providers to better support our clients.
Dementia Care Yes We run workshops for our clients & continually upskill & train our Support Workers to increase awareness & understanding of dementia & how together we can better manage the condition through an indivdualised Care Plan which involves family & whanau.
Other Specialties. Yes Our registered nurses cover all facets of clinical care & visit our clients on an on-going basis when requested by clients, their families and/or Support Workers.

Meals (Frozen) No Yes Yes Pacific Homecare Support Workers often prepare meals in advance & freeze them so they are available for their clients when they need them.
Meals (Fresh or Hot) No Yes Yes Pacific Homrcare match the ethnicity of the Support Worker to that of the client so that meals can be prepared according to cultural customs & tastes; especially Hindi, Indian, Samoan, Tongan, Maori & Cook Island dishes.
Home Help (Housework/Cleaning etc.) No Yes No Household management services include assistance with everyday household tasks that people may be struggling to complete. E.g. cleaning, laundry, ironing, vacuuming or mopping the floors, doing the dishes, dusting etc.
Shopping Assistance No Yes No Assisting clients to do the shopping is governed by strict rules around receipts & money handling to ensure the clients complete security & satisfaction.
Transport Assistance No Yes No All Support Workers transporting clients have a clean & current drivers license & can provide their own car or use the clients as preferred.
