Other services

With views of the western hills, Metlifecare Park has a peaceful outlook over its own ‘village green’ fringed with beautiful mature trees which are visited by native birds.
Our 15-bed ‘Jacaranda Court' Dementia Unit has a fresh and inviting appearance and a well-equipped interior, contributing to our residents well-being. Built on one level, all rooms are single with a hand basin.
Also on-site we offer Rest Home and Hospital Care as well as Villas for independent living.
WE CARE
Our aim is to provide a warm and friendly environment. We are staffed with caregivers and other professional staff trained to meet the particular needs of those in their care. Although our doctor visits regularly, some families may prefer to continue to have their own GP.
We want all our residents to have an enjoyable time. Our manager is happy to meet with family members, and respond to any questions or concerns you may have. It is appreciated if you take the time to make an appointment.
MAKING PEOPLE FEEL AT HOME
There is open visiting at home in the park and family and friends are always very welcome. To help residents to feel at home, please feel encouraged to bring personal things such as pictures, photographs, a favourite comfy chair and treasured mementos.
AMENITIES
There are many special areas including a pleasant lounge. Our restful garden and the park greens give a real country feel to our dementia unit and village as a whole.
HERE FOR OUR RESIDENTS
All diets and appetites are catered for, and family or guests are welcome for lunch at a small charge payable to reception.
Our chaplain is available for residents’ spiritual needs and specific church services are held in Jacaranda Court weekly.
Our hairdresser is available for appointments during the week, and the Podiatrist is available every 6 weeks.
ACTIVITIES FOR WELFARE AND ENJOYMENT
Jacaranda Court offers a specialised activity programme for all our residents enjoyment and well-being. Opportunities include games, music, and arts and crafts.
KEEPING SAFE
- Valuables. Metlifecare cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged property, and request family to retain these on behalf of residents.
- Fire. Smoke detectors and sprinklers are installed. Our staff have fire evacuation procedures in place – residents are safe in their hands.
- Visitors Book. Relatives and friends are asked to sign the visitor signing in/out book. This is monitored to help ensure the safety of all our residents.
BEING GOOD NEIGHBOURS
We ask people not to smoke within our facility - we have designated areas for smokers.
