Thornbury House is a smaller personal home. We provide comfort and security whilst promoting a sense of community and companionship. Our focus is quality of care with a special emphasis on purposeful activities. Our aim is that every resident will be the "best" they can be at whatever "stage" they are. To endeavour to meet this aim, besides our very experienced care staff, we have a strong team of activities staff, including 2 Diversional Therapists, lead by our wonderful Activities Coordinator with fifteen years of service. We offer activities every day, weekends included.
Our rest home has two areas. We call these "The House" and "The Cottage". The two areas are under the same roof and residents are able to go freely between the two areas. Our cottage accommodates residents who are still able to be a little more independent. Besides the bedrooms in this area there are another two lovely living rooms where some residents prefer to spend their day.
Our photos from left :- 1. A visit from our animal friends 2.Weeding the front garden 3. Enjoying the ocean.

I have been very happy with his care for past 3 years, and Lesley has been a
huge help to me along the way and seems to run a very good care centre.
They were all very good to him, a service that was not easy.
