Description
We offer all levels of care on-site in our care suites, from rest home to hospital level care, including a safe and secure memory loss unit.

We offer 20 secure memory loss suites that are nestled in our Ranui neighbourhood. They are designed to promote and maintain independence and to reduce confusion.

If you are considering the move for someone you love, you can be reassured that our premium care memory loss care facilities enable residents to enjoy life with comfort, security and dignity.

The residents in our memory loss unit have access to an outdoor area that has been landscaped to cater for the unique needs of residents living with dementia or memory loss.

Where appropriate to do so, our residents will be supported to assist with simple food preparation and baking in our neighbourhood kitchen. They also have access to the domestic style laundry within Ranui.

Our executive chef ensures residents requiring special diets enjoy restaurant quality cuisine. We use innovative food moulds to present nutritious meals, which look amazing, and taste and smell delicious. The residents also have access to tasty, nutritious snacks at any time.

Our care philosophy is to put all residents first with dedicated caregivers they can get to know. They will provide the essential human connections that come when people just take time to listen and to engage.

Our guiding principles are clear; what we are here to give is time.

There are a number of unique qualities that showcase our desire to provide a very special place for our residents to call home , which include the following:

Thanks to the Be: Art Trust we have on display brand new artistic works from local New Zealand talents Paul Dibble and Karl Maughan.

This artistic aesthetic flows through to the atrium, which is lined with pillars inspired by New Zealand's iconic Nikau palm trees. Beneath the canopy of the pillars, nestled in the heart of the atrium is a beautiful garden, complete with flowering plants and moss walls that brighten and breathe new life into the vibrant and open space.

Rawhiti Estate is the first retirement village in Auckland to use the Vocera communication system. The hands-free, wearable badge-like device allows our teams to communicate directly with the residents and with one another far more efficiently and sharpen their focus on what matters most, our residents.

Connected to the Vocera badge will be the Care Cohort powered tablet system, which each resident will have within their suites. With this powerful tool at their fingertips, our residents will be capable of communicating in real-time to our staff, allowing them to immediately provide our nursing staff with critical information, contact family and friends, order food from our village chef and so much more.

Our care suites are generous in size, beautifully appointed and "feel just like home". Most of our care suites come with a kitchenette and a fridge. The furniture supplied has been chosen with the older adult in mind and to promote our residents to be independent. The ensuites are all tiled with under floor heating.
