At Glengarry Care Home we are proud to offer personalised rest home, hospital, secure dementia, respite, and day care. The attitude of our staff towards our residents is marked by aroha and respect. Focusing on making each day the best it can be for your loved one, is what’s most important to us. We believe in providing personable, compassionate, safe, respectful care, adding value to the quality of everyday living.

We want everyone to feel that Glengarry is their home. Friends and relatives can come and go whenever they like, and are welcome to share meals (for a small charge). We often receive compliments from our residents and their families about the kindness of our staff, and the “little extras” that they so willingly do. One of our residents wanted to be able to make hot drinks in his room, so we have set this up so he can do just that.

We know it is very important to offer choices and to really listen to what our residents and their families want. Recognising the individual needs of our residents and to promote a friendly and comfortable environment is an important part of our philosophy. It helps us make each day the best it can be. Respecting the dignity, beliefs and culture of all helps us make each day the best it can be.

Glengarry is homely, warm and comfortable. Our rest home and hospital provides modern living in a peaceful, rural setting just five minutes drive from the centre of town. We would be delighted to have the opportunity to talk with you about our care. Please phone Helen Cooper, our Care Home Manager, or feel free to drop in at any time.
