Providing safe and therapeutic care for people with dementia in a home like, comfortable environment, that enhances quality of life and minimizes risk in our secure indoor and outdoor spaces. The environment is bright and airy with single rooms, communal lounge and dining. An external courtyard provides access to a garden where residents, and their families, can enjoy being outside in the sun and pottering in the garden.

Your room is your own private space, so you can decorate it with your favourite pictures and ornaments. Standard rooms are large enough for a single bed, a chair and a wardrobe or chest of drawers. The cost of a standard room is included in the Care Services Fee set by the DHB. Premium rooms have additional features such as more space, or outdoor access, but you’ll need to pay an extra amount per day to cover the cost of these premium features.

Our staff are required to complete specialized dementia training; to gain a better understanding of dementia and we use a person-centered approach to care, looking for verbal and nonverbal clues to identify our resident's needs

Hospital care is also offered at this Pukekohe-based aged care facility.

Franklin is part of the Oceania Group, a member of the New Zealand Aged Care Association.
