When it comes to everyday life, Clutha Views makes it easy with village, rest home, hospital, day care, respite and dementia care. The well-appointed rooms all look out onto sheltered courtyards or landscaped gardens and come complete with a 24-hour call system, WiFi and ensuites.

Part of the close-knit Balclutha community, Clutha Views is set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens, just a hop, skip and jump from the Balclutha shopping centre, where you’ll find all the essentials including a bank and pharmacy.

We offer everything from hairdressing to speech therapy, physiotherapy and SKY TV. We have a range of recreational activities including happy hour, board games, gardening, crafts and indoor bowls. Our facility van is also always on hand for outings.

Residents just need to ask and we will arrange individual spiritual care as required. We also have a volunteer Chaplin who visits weekly and as required.

Special Features
Clutha View's secure dementia unit is known as the "Balmoral Wing" which is a reference to a local area. Clutha Views Balmoral wing is one of three levels of service we offer as we also offer Hospital level and Resthome level care.

The Clutha View site provides a convenience shop, accessibility ramps and safety grab rails, paraplegic toilets, smoke detectors with water sprinklers, and separate dining room and lounge facilities.

Situated in the beautiful Balclutha township, Clutha Views has magnificent landscape and vegetable gardens, with a BBQ area and a courtyard for quiet and peaceful sitting and relaxing. We take pride in being warm and friendly and have become renowned for our cheerful atmosphere.

Interests & Activities
At Clutha Views residents are provided with Activities from Monday to Friday. The activities programme includes activities that are recreational and social in nature, and are designed for each individual at all levels of disability. Our Activities programme has input from the Resident's meetings to ensure the activities provided are meaningful to the residents and is aimed at keeping the body and mind stimulated.

We provide a library service and we also rent DVDs or videos. Entertainers form a regular part of our programme. A piano is also available in the main lounges.

Here are just some of the activities that occur on a regular basis:
Board games, cooking, quizzes, gardening, indoor bowls, crafts, dancing, parties, Happy Hour, workshops.

There is also active involvement in community events. Outings are an ongoing part of the activities programme and often include stopping somewhere for coffee.

Details about Meals Clutha Views provides nourishing home cooked meals and home baked scones/ muffins for morning tea with biscuits and cake for afternoon tea.
Staffing Qualifications and Details Clutha Views has qualified registered nurses and enrolled nurses on staff with competent enthusiastic Careerforce trained caregivers. The housekeeping and kitchen staff provide an excellent service to the facility.

Shops 2.00 km Clutha Views does have a Shuttle service available for independent and able residents which departs at 14:00 from the Resthome, down to the shops and returns at 15:00. A convenience store is also within walking distance from Clutha Views Lifecare.
Parks 2.00 km Naish Park in town has beautiful Rhododendrons and blossom trees along with well groomed gardens, an aviary and duck pond. The park is a great place for a picnic and the residents regularly go there for afternoon tea with the activities staff.
Library 2.00 km Clutha Views has a library service from the public library monthly.
