Given the current COVID-19 environment we have temporarily disabled our ‘feedback’ feature. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Visitors as usual (but not if you’re unwell or recently returned from overseas)
Athenree Life just recently came under new management. The rest home, hospital and dementia care facility provides 24 hour care for those who can no longer manage safely on their own.

We also provide respite care, palliative care and an activities based day care programme.

Five minutes off SHW2 between Katikati and Waihi, our unique location positions us between the BOP and Waikato/Coromandel Peninsula regions, and allows referrals from both the BOP and Waikato District Health Boards.

Situated on the waters edge of the Shelly Bay Estuary, our residents have stunning views of the water, native flora and fauna.

Healthy, nutritious meals approved by a dietitian are prepared by our professional chef/cook, and residents feedback is sought daily from the kitchen staff.

A full activities programme that changes weekly is organised by our Activities Coordinator. Visiting family and friends are always encouraged to participate in activities.

We welcome your enquiries and look forward to seeing you soon :)
