We believe in being open and transparent about our fees, with no surprises. Before you move in, we will take the time to explain all costs, what is included in your fees, and any additional charges that may apply. We can also provide information and guidance regarding Residential Care Subsidies, loans, and other funding options that may be available. We understand that aged care funding can be complex, so we recommend discussing it with us in person. We will work through everything with you, one step at a time, ensuring you feel informed, supported, and confident in your decisions.

At Kamo Home & Village Charitable Trust, we believe that good food is an important part of wellbeing, comfort, and feeling at home. Our meals are provided by Cater Plus, a specialist aged care catering provider with extensive experience in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals for older people.

Menus are carefully planned and reviewed by a qualified dietitian to ensure they meet the nutritional needs of residents and align with recognised aged care standards. A variety of meal options are available, with consideration given to resident preferences, seasonal produce, and special occasions throughout the year.

We cater for a wide range of dietary requirements, including texture-modified diets, diabetes management, food allergies, intolerances, and vegetarian options. We also recognise the importance of food in maintaining cultural identity and wellbeing, and cultural and religious dietary requirements can be accommodated wherever possible in consultation with residents and their families.

Meals are served in welcoming dining areas that encourage social connection and enjoyment, while room service can be arranged when required. Morning tea, afternoon tea, and refreshments are available throughout the day, helping ensure residents remain well-nourished and supported.

For us, mealtimes are about more than nutrition. They are an opportunity to bring people together, celebrate individual preferences, and contribute to a warm and homely environment where residents feel valued and cared for.

There is always something happening across our communities, with activities designed to support wellbeing, independence, social connection, and enjoyment. Residents are encouraged to participate as much or as little as they choose, with programs tailored to individual interests and abilities.
