Our mission statement states
Ashlea Grove has a 17-bed secure dementia unit and a 20 bed rest home. We pride ourselves on offering a high standard of care. We operate an open disclosure policy and an
open door policy, visit us anytime.
We have an excellent activities programme that is developed for our residents' individual needs. We enjoy group activities, indoor bowls being a favorite. We aim to promote a safe, warm, friendly homely atmosphere for our residents. We believe that family is important. There's always a cup of tea waiting for you and Angie-lee and Ricky are here to help with any questions you may have.
It is our mission at Ashlea Grove to provide all our residents with a safe caring country environment that is comfortable and homely and enables residents to maintain their independence as much as possible.
Ashlea Grove Rest Home has a special place in the hearts of the Milton community, as it use to be the local hospital. Many of our residents had their babies here many years ago.
We pay particular attention to special events in our residents lives during the year. Christmas time in particular receives many positive comments from the residents and those who visit. Ashlea Grove has undergone a face lift throughout the rest home with new furniture, drapes, carpet, wallpaper and more up to date pictures and paint scheme. Ashlea Grove is a family run rest home, we pride ourselves on being family based and we are lucky to be in a envious position where our caregivers are locals therefor they bring a loving family environment to this beautiful rest home.
We work in our resident's home they do not live in our place of work.

| We recently took Dad on a trip to Palmerston North to see his family. It was three nights away, and the first time we had taken Dad out over night since he began living at Ashlea Grove in January. The trip was a success, and an important reminder of just how much your care of Dad means to us. The wonderful work you all do with Dad means that we can continue to live our lives, take care of our son, go to our jobs. Things that would be impossible if Dad was in our full-time care. Ashlea Grove provides a safe space for Dad, unlike anything we could provide at home, with multiple unavoidable hazards meaning we need to watch him constantly. When visiting from Alexandra, we were always greeted by first names and consulted about everything related to Joy's care. If I was visiting at meal times I was always included. The generous offer for the family to use two rooms, to be present with my wife in her final weeks was appreciated. Joy was a resident of Ashlea Grove for two and a half years, and she was always treated with respect, compassion and care. People often asked me if I would bring her to a closer rest home, when space came up, but we wanted to do what was best for her not me, and she was content and secure at Ashlea Grove.
