Ranfurly Hospital adopts a holistic model of care and support to meet individual resident needs in a dignified, respectful and culturally inclusive manner - enabling independence in a residence that supports their lifestyle. We provide high-quality nursing, residential and respite care, with a focus on the overall health, wellbeing, and interests of our residents. Our Registered Nurses, Health Care Assistants with the additional support of the Clinical Nurse Manager and Health Services Manager, provide 24-hour nursing care ensuring round-the-clock comfort, wellbeing and safety of our residents.
Our modern care suites, spread over two levels, offer spacious comfort and stunning views, complemented by amenities designed to enrich and engage residents' lives. From communal lounges and dining areas to a hair salon, cafe, cinema, mobile library, and sensory gardens, every aspect of Ranfurly Hospital is crafted to foster independence, connection, and a sense of home.

The Ministry of Health conducts regular audits of Residential Care Facilities. They can be found HERE.
NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
