Description
Ultimate Care Kensington Court is part of the Ultimate Care Group, one of the largest residential aged care providers in New Zealand, with nationwide coverage in all aspects of assisted living.

Kensington Court Village offers a mixture of independent living villas, apartments and studios. Our Village is well established in the community having provided over 20 years of care in the Nelson community.

The recently refurbished village offers a range of affordable choices including well-appointed, tastefully designed independent villas, apartments, and studios. Uniquely, there’s also the option to live in your own Care Suite in our village with a package of care, which means never having to move again.

Ultimate Care Kensington Court Village offers you the best of both worlds, the freedom of independent living with exceptional care on hand when you need it. One of the benefits of living at Kensington Court Village is the ability to be able to choose a support service if and when you may require living assistance. We can offer the added peace of mind of an adjoining rest home and hospital complex should the need arise.

Kensington Court Village Manager says, "There’s always something going on. Our residents enjoy the communal activities and opportunities offered here. Our aim is to make people feel at home, but with extra support, as they need it"

All of you were wonderful and I felt we all became a family of sorts. I have never felt such compassion from strangers as I did from all of you from the rest home. I will remember you all with love and thank you for the loving care that was given to our loved one. He responded to the staff much better than he did with his sisters and even his daughter. We laughed a lot about that but know he was very glad we were there to grump with him. Kindest regards LC

We express the huge amount of gratitude for the superb care of mum and Gran. You formed a bond with mum. To form a bond shows your skill and dedication to make residents lives as easy going as possible. They have the freedom to still be themselves. We know mum was happy to have the good care along with the respect in her last year.

The Ministry of Health conducts regular audits of Residential Care Facilities. They can be found HERE.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.

In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
