We have available a Serviced Hospitality Unit in the Village available for the use of visiting friends and relatives. It is a 1 bedroom unit but will sleep up to four comfortably. This is currently charged out at $80/night. We also have six Care Suites which are 1 bedroom units within our Rest Home facilty. Full care can be provided to residents in these Care Suites at either a rest home or hospital level care. The Care Suites provide residents with the independence of Village living but with the additional care as it is needed. This prevents residents having to move from their units/apartments if their level of care needs change. Our Care Suites have proved to be very popular and currently we have no vacant suites. We have one newly converted Studio Unit available. This is a single room with tea/coffee making facilities, wall mounted flat screen TV, and small fridge and microwave. |

The Ministry of Health conducts regular audits of Residential Care Facilities. They can be found HERE.
NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
