Visitors as usual (but not if you're unwell or recently returned from overseas)
If you value your independence, and want to keep it for as long as possible, living at Oakwoods in the Nelson suburb of Richmond could be the solution you’re looking for. This respected Richmond retirement community helps residents live life by their own rules, assisted by a support layer that makes it easier to stay safe and well.

Oakwoods offers a full range of accommodation styles, including fully-independent living in villas, assisted living in serviced apartments and studios, and 24/7 care in spacious rest home rooms. This breadth of options means it’s possible to adjust your level of support without changing your address.

For more information on assisted living at Oakwoods, please give Mark a call on 03 543 9700.

The Ministry of Health conducts regular audits of Residential Care Facilities. They can be found HERE.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.

In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
