About Eversleigh Hospital
Eversleigh Hospital is a 38-bed hospital providing long-term and respite care at 12 Coronation Street in Belmont. We also manage three licenced one-bedroom apartments serviced by our care and housekeeping staff.
Each individual room has a hand basin, heater, wardrobe, bed and over bed table. The bathroom is communal with a shower and toilet, just along the corridor. There are also commode chairs for rooms if required. The rooms are to be individualised with furnishings, pictures and bedspreads. Each room opens onto a veranda where potted plants can be grown and residents can enjoy the sun and sit outside.
All meals are prepared onsite by our chef with daily baked goods for morning and afternoon tea. Special diet requirements can also be catered for. Our skilled staff are responsible for providing all personal and nursing care including medical services. We have a Nurse on site and access to our Doctor 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our Nurses ensure that residents are seen as their health status requires. The GP visits our site on a fortnightly basis and more often as needed. All medications are provided by the facility pharmacy. During the weekdays, our Activities Coordinator has a programme for our residents to keep them entertained and socialised and there is a free fortnightly van trip for them. We also have scheduled residents’ meetings and an independent residents’ advocate available for support when required. To add, our Podiatrist visits the hospital regularly to ensure that our residents’ personal grooming is maintained.
Waitemata Health requires the Gerontology Team to complete an assessment before admittance to our site. We would be happy to provide support and information at your request for this assessment.

Residents Say It Best
”My wife, Gillian Mayo, has been in care at Eversleigh Private Hospital since February 2024. Gillian has advanced dementia and she requires total care. I have found Eversleigh Hospital to be a well-run facility where management, nurses and carers are not only experienced and skilled, but also caring and supportive.”
David Noon
”I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Arby, Trish and their team at Eversleigh for taking care of Dad, who’s been there for about two years now. Kim and Claire are two people who come to mind, who have really done their best with Dad.”
Craig Dryland
”We are so thankful that Jack was cared for by your loving and empathetic staff. It has been a huge comfort throughout the battle Jack has had with dementia. We have always been shown such kindness when wanting to talk to Jack and we strongly recommend Eversleigh Hospital as a fine example of high quality aged and dementia care.”
Marion Clarkson
”From day one we found the staff very caring and compassionate catering for both Mum’s and Dad’s needs which were quite different. After Mum died in 2023 Dad moved to a single room. Staff have continued to care for Dad as his health gradually declines. Eversleigh has a real family atmosphere. Staff are friendly and approachable and communication is easy.”

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
