Activity programme.The weekly activities programme is designed to cater for the mental,physical, social and spiritual well-being of all the Residents. Examples of the activities offered are quizzes, games, outings, housie, and spiritual retreats.
Advocate. We recommend Residents to have an independent advocate. Age Concern will provide an advocacy service tel no 623 0184
or the Health Advocates Trust tel no 623 5799.
Chapel. We have a chapel and prayer room on site and residents are welcome to attend Mass which is celebrated twice each day (except Sundays where it is offered once).
Chaplain. We have on site a chaplain, and pastoral care worker. There are regular opportunities to participate in other prayer times and sacraments.
Hairdresser. A trained hairdresser comes every two weeks on Tuesdays. Transport is provided to take Residents to visit a Hairdressers of their choice every Thursday.
Library. The mobile library comes to St Catherine's every fortnight. The local library is also only 1/2 a kilometre away.
Meal choices. Spotless Catering are contracted to provide food services. We have a 5 week cycle of menu. Special diets, nutritional requirements and food preferences are catered for.
Minibus. There are regular monthly outing in the minibus.
Pastoral care. We have a pastoral care worker on the staff.
Pianist/Concerts. A pianist comes every week to play familiar songs which Residents can sing along to.
Concerts are often given by visiting groups,-such as choirs, mandalay group etc.
Shopping. St Catherine's is located to near by shopping facilities at Ponsonby, and Victoria Markets.
Sky TV. Sky Tv is provided in the lounge of the second floor.
Videos. Every Saturaday movies are shown.
Views Well maintinedpark-like grounds surround ST CAtherine's. Residents can enjoy the views of St Mary 's college, the city and Auckland Harbour form lounges,verrandahs and their bedrooms.
Visitors. Family and friends are are welcome at any time. St Catherine's warmly invites family and friends to become an active part of St Catherine's.
