Special Features
Shalom Court is a boutique rest home in the eastern suburbs of Auckland. It was established for members of the Jewish community but welcomes applicants from outside the Jewish faith.

All rooms are acknowledged as being large and all have en suites. There are also independent units approved for rest home care which are ideal for the more mobile person who is able to enjoy a 1 bedroom unit.

The food is regarded as exceptionally high quality and the menu very varied.

We offer a 7 day a week activities programme

Details re Meals The main meal of the day with meat, vegetables & dessert is at lunch time. Dinner offers a choice of soup, salad, sandwiches & a savoury dish. Fresh fruit is served. Residents can request an alternative if the main dish is not acceptable. Special dietary requirements are provided. in keeping with Jewish dietary practice certain foods are not offered.
Staffing Details Shalom Court has a proud record of staff retention with 12 of 14 staff currently employed for greater than 12 months. Most staff are required to complete the 12 month National Certificate in Care of the Aged which is funded by Shalom Court. Registered nurses are on site 5 days a week, 0800-1700 and on call outside these hours.
