Interests & Activities

Age Concern (use of Accredited Visitors for residents if required), Blind Foundation (use of Talking Book facility in the past), RSA (some residents visit local RSA of choice), Stroke Group (residents visit local club weekly), Cards occasionally, irregular Church service although ministers visit own parish ones weekly, Craft occasionally with Activities Officer, Dancing and gardening rarely, one Electric bed, Entertainment (church choir once or twice per month ; other groups 4-5 times a year), Exercises once or twice a month, Happy Hour occasioanly (celebrate special occasions), Indoor Games 3-4 times per month, our own Library and librarian also visits, Movies (family encouraged to take residents), Music frequently (stereo; with Activities Officer, visiting artists), Views overlooking Henderson Valley and Waitakere Ranges, daily newspaper delivery (read aloud on occasions), Quizzes frequently (fortnightly), videos occasionally, Outings (van goes out each week - residents have a turn each fortnight).
