Enrolled Nurse Yes Have an enrolled nurse who is the rest home co-ordinator. Maxine is an assest with her knowledge and her experience that she has brought to Kensington Court.
Healthcare Assistants/Caregivers Yes We work off safe staffing indicators which are based on your resident numbers. All caregivers are required to complete core training in care of the elder person.

Pets In Residence Yes We currently have two birds Courtney and Kenny that remain in the reception area. Courtney is a chatter box and tells Kenny that he looks pretty!!
Negotiate To Bring Own Pet Yes We are open to discuss this. We currently have a cat called Pixie in our hospital lounge. We would love a cat down in the rest home so we are up for negoitiation.
Phone Access In Own Room Yes Phone lines in all rooms, connection at own cost. Five residents' phones are strategically placed around the home.
Resident can adjust heating in own room No The heating can be adjusted within the residents room but this does need to be done by the maintenance manager.

Special Features
An inter rest home competition for the Ultimate Care Group facilities has caused a afternoon of fun with residents putting on rugby jerseys to show support for our adopted team. Staff adapted different poses for rugby images to represent our way of supporting Italy. Faces were put on ice cream sticks so that residents coud put them up to their faces. A huge amount of laughter and fun was had by all! Especially the residents!!

Details re Meals Our menus are checked yearly by a dietician and options are available should you not like a certain meal.
