Bernadette Lifecare Rest home, Mt Maunganui opened in 1986 and over the last 25 years has established a reputation as one of the finest aged care facilities in the Bay of Plenty. Over the years we have continued to grow the service and expand. In 1996 we opened the first Hospital wing in Mt Maunganui, of 25 rooms. We are now proud to announce the opening of our brand new Matakana Hospital wing providing an additional 23 large supperior hospital rooms all including private ensuites. | Bernadette Lifecare operates an Aged Care Hospital and Rest Home. Founded on the site that was an originally a church, Bernadette Lifecare is privately owned and is non-denominational.
In Tauranga, idealy located in Bayfair-Arataki servicing the poulation of the greater Mt. Maunganui Papamoa BOP region. The name Bernadette was retained when the property was purchased in the mid 1980's and the rest home established. It has grown to its current size of 28 rest home and 58 hospital beds. The philosophy of the owner and principal, is to offer the best possible quality of nursing care and service in a safe environment and to provide pleasant working conditions for the staff. |

| Details re Meals | Our menu is overseen by a Dietitian. All meals are prepared in our own kitchen. A continental style breakfast is served from 6.45am - 7.15pm Lunch is served from 11.45am - 12.30pm. This is the main meal of the day. Special diets and likes and dislikes are catered for. There are 2 choices of meals at tea time. Soup, fruit and cheese is also served. Biscuits and cake are available at morning tea and afternoon tea. Caregiver will provide additional snacks as required. | |
