The Booms has lovely views of the racecourse and the valley and is close to local shops and services. The Booms is part of the Bupa group of rest homes, hospitals, retirement villages and personal medical alarms. We are a private company, and because we have no shareholders, we can invest what we earn to make improvements that help us provide better care. The Booms has a busy Activity Programme is provided for all levels of residential care. Some of the recent outings have been jet boat rides, Casino visits, Residents and Community Royal Ball held at The Booms , resident attendance at community events, Movies etc. The Booms also encourages input from the local community with visiting entertainers, visits from the local schools, religious services as desired and hobby groups. The Booms Mens Club provides craft and activities specifically for our male residents, that includes fishing trips, pool afternoons, happy hour and other activites as desired.
