Parkhaven Hospital is a multicultural hospital that prides itself on being sensitive to the needs of different cultures. We are proud of our reputation for providing a homely, nurturing environment.

Our hospital is purpose-built and provides specialist, Wholehearted Care. We also provide long-term medical care for young people with disabilities. Parkhaven is warm and comfortable with sunny lounges and decks and safe outdoor areas. Every bedroom has a garden view.

Parkhaven is 30 minutes south of Auckland city centre, close to the airport and has strong support and involvement from the Mangere, Manukau, Manurewa and Papatoetoe communities. Residents and visitors are welcomed by Parkhaven's pet cat, who sits proudly at the reception desk.

Parkhaven is part of the Bupa group of rest homes, hospitals, retirement villages and personal medical alarms. We are a private company, and because we have no shareholders, we can invest what we earn to make improvements that help us provide better care.

As part of the global Bupa group, we are able to provide superior clinical support, while focusing on helping each of our residents get the most out of each day. Bupa is one of New Zealand’s leading aged care providers.

Special Features
Parkhaven Hospital provides care for hospital and specialised high level dementia care. The two services are located in separate wings with separate entrances.
The purpose built hospital is open and spacious with small wings relating to centralised communal areas. The corridors form part of these communal areas so that various groups and activities are found here as well as in the more defined lounge(2)areas.

Some residents have little jobs that they like to do and we encourage this. For example one resident operates the 'in house' shop, another takes messages around the hospital and another enjoys helping to set the tables.

We are able to care for all cultures and are very proud of our multicultural facility
