Hospital Care
David Lange Care Home
|
Bupa is proud to offer Hospital, Rest Home and Respite Care at David Lange Care Home in Mangere East, Auckland. Our second wing is now open and filling fast! The fresh, new feel of the home complements our gardens perfectly. The gardens give wonderful views from the inside, as well as providing sunny, peaceful places to sit outside.
We welcome friends and family at any time. The great reputation of the food our chef prepares means that friends and family often join their special people here for a meal (for a small charge). Our residents also enjoy getting out and about in the Bupa van. There’s always something happening at David Lange, and our residents can choose whether they get involved in the range of activities on offer. Our nursing and care staff give care in a way that is friendly and respects the wishes of each resident. This reflects a combination of our training, and the effort we make to really get to know each resident, through something we call the Map of Life. Through this, we understand what has been important in each person’s life, as well as their particular likes, dislikes, and preferences. Once we have this understanding, we can give the care that each person needs in a way that is right for them. Our Care Home has been designed to give choices. Each floor looks different with its own soft furnishings in warm, rich colours. Our bedrooms are a generous size and almost all have ensuite toilets (shared between two rooms but designed for individual privacy). Our lounge and dining areas are comfortable with recliner chairs and large screen TV's. We would be delighted to have the opportunity to talk with you about our care. Please phone our Care Home Manager, Minoo Baker, or feel free to drop in at any time. Our facility also offers these services: |

| Delighted with the care that my Mum and Dad are receiving- S.W
You have all been so wonderful, it's hard to know how to begin to say thank you....Please know that your kindness will always be remembered. Home is very new but the staff are always friendly and listen to Mums needs and my request. It helps the family knowing this. I am grateful that staff have made this transition for the whole family easier by being so helpful. Keep up the good work David Lange. This David Lange home is such a beautiful, caring and a special home.Leaving my family home was very emotional for me but as soon as I stepped through the doors at David Lange Care Home I feel special and there is always someone to care for me. Staff always willing to stop and answer needs. Doesn't smell of urine, friendly, food as good as home cooked. My family and I would like to thank all of the staff for the wonderful care they have given my sister since she arrived at the home. Her physical health, personal hygiene and overall condition have improved considerably and this is a credit to the facility. We couldn't have chosen a better hospital for her. |
