About Elmslie Wānaka Village
Just a short walk from the shores of Lake Wānaka, you’ll find our friendly village that offers the perfect climate for your retirement. The Elmslie Wānaka Village offers a mix of modern apartments and villas that have been designed to help you make the most of this inspiring location.
Life at Elmslie Wānaka Village is relaxed and friendly. As a boutique village, its easy to find your own balance between independence and companionship. The Pembroke Lounge is the heart of the village, where neighbours gather for quizzes, games, morning teas, movies, or just a cuppa. The lounge is also available for family gatherings. Weekly shopping trips and van outings are also organised for residents.
At some stage in our lives, we may require more assistance in our day to day living. Our wealth of experience in other stages of care means our team can advise you on your options and how it all works. We are here to help and assure you through the stages.
*All purchases are made as an Occupational Right Agreement as laid out in the Retirement Villages Act 2003.

The Village Lounge is the hub of Village life. It's where movies are shown, meetings are held and Happy Hour enjoyed. Big doors open out from the Common Room into a sheltered courtyard.

Mythbusting - Retirement Villages are a rip-off
Why it’s considered a worthwhile investment.
NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
