About Wairarapa Village
Wairarapa Village is a relaxing village retreat set in over three hectares of beautifully landscaped grounds, featuring hundreds of roses, beautiful walkways and a stream that runs through the village gardens. Just a 400 metre stroll away is the centre of Masterton, the heart of the Wairarapa.
Many of our residents have recreational and sporting interests outside the village and are fully engaged in the community. Wairarapa Village has a variety of facilities and social activities on offer with a dedicated social coordinator running a programme of events offering something for everyone.
Security is a priority, with the main gates automatically closed each night and regular secruity patrols through the evening 365 days a year.
Wairarapa Village offers a full continuum of care with a large range of independent living one and two bedroom villas, one bedroom serviced apartments, along with rest home and hospital care options.
If you or your loved ones are starting to struggle with life at home our serviced apartments provide the perfect balance between having care and support available when needed while being able to live independently.
Sometimes the extra support living in our village provides, makes all the difference.

Mythbusting - Retirement Villages are a rip-off
Why it’s considered a worthwhile investment.
NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
