Our retirement village is situated in beautiful park surroundings with stunning views of Maungatautari and Kakepuku mountains as you walk through the village. On-site amenities to enjoy include the Coffee Post Cafe, General Store and Village Centre, or unwind in nature with a walk through our beautiful Te Puna Marama (Moon Spring) native bush area. Cambridge's town centre is close by, and is brimming with shops, eateries and a cinema.
Our retirement village has something quite unique – the welcoming feel of a neighbourhood with villas, cottages, and supported living apartments that vary in size, appearance and price, offering a range of accommodation options. Our Occupation Right Agreement terms provide significant benefits for residents including shared capital gain, priority access to care if the need arises, and no refurbishment costs when you leave. Our To & Fro companion driving service provides a friendly, reliable door-to-door service, whether it's an appointment, shopping, a trip, or a shuttle to the airport.
Our care centre provides a comprehensive range of care offerings and services - rest home care, continuing (hospital), palliative care, secure memory care, short-term respite care (dependent on room availability) and convalescence.

Special features
Cambridge Resthaven's Village Manager is on hand to ensure general well-being and manageability in the home for residents. Monday morning tea is hosted weekly in the Village Centre , giving all residents the opportunity to catch up and participate in village life. We regularly have guest speakers from outside agencies and organisations covering a broad spectrum of interests and information.
Residents are very active organising outings, evening entertainment, and themed events.
Resident meetings are held every three months in and around the Village Centre, giving an opportunity for general discussion with fellow residents and management.

Mythbusting - Retirement Villages are a rip-off
Why it’s considered a worthwhile investment.
NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
