About Bupa Ashford Retirement Village
Bupa Ashford Retirement Village is a retirement village that still feels like a village, not a retirement city. Only a short drive from Christchurch city centre, our village is close to all local amenities such as pharmacy, supermarket, café and park. You can enjoy the freedom of living independently in our excellent community facilities.
At Bupa Ashford Retirement Village you can enjoy attractive one, two and three bedroom villas, which are warm, light, and spacious. Our villas have a modern kitchen, double glazed windows, heat pump and 24/7 emergency alarms.
We also offer 16 apartments with domestic services. All apartments feature an ensuite and kitchenette, with open plan living. Enjoy the freedom of independent living with an additional domestic services package, which includes weekly housekeeping, linen laundry and two meal services
(lunch and a light dinner) each day, for five or seven days. Lighten the load a little further and opt in for our personal laundry service.
All villas and apartments with domestic services are built using high quality materials, creating a comfortable, functional home that looks great and is a pleasure to live in.
Our care home is conveniently located on site and offers rest home, hospital and dementia levels of care, subject to availability.

Mythbusting - Retirement Villages are a rip-off
Why it’s considered a worthwhile investment.
NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
