About Aspiring Village
Aspiring Village was established in 2010, and is now home to a vibrant community of almost 200 residents living across 124 villas, 16 apartments and 24 assisted living apartments. We offer thoughtfully designed villas and apartments in a range of sizes and configurations. All homes are built to a very high standard, with our designs and specifications tailored for the Central Otago climate.
The village offers extensive lifestyle facilities with our park like grounds and the Aspiring Lifestyle Centre - the social hub of the village where we host events and activities organised by our staff team and residents. In 2020 we extended and refurbished our lifestyle centre, which includes an indoor heated pool, spa, gym, café and lounges, residents bar, media room, BBQ areas, library and much more.
In 2023 we opened 24 assisted living apartments. Pembroke Apartments are 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with added services such as meals, housekeeping, laundry and medication supervision.
The majority of our residents live independent lives - but sometimes needs may change. The Our Village team will work with you and your family to provide you with care and support in your home, and priority access to residential care is available at our on-site Aspiring Care Centre.
As villas and apartments become available, we contact those who have previously expressed their interest to us before advertising more widely. If you wish to be notified of unit availability it is imperative to complete and return an Expression of Interest form.
Come and take a tour of Aspiring Village today - phone Lara on 027 307 3738 or call into our office at 23 Rodeo Drive, off Golf Course Road, Wanaka.

Mythbusting - Retirement Villages are a rip-off
Why it’s considered a worthwhile investment.
NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
