The Holly Lea Care Centre is now open. This boutique care centre offers upscale and personalised care up to hospital level, as well as a specialised memory support unit.
The beautifully appointed care suites are designed with a residential underscore and each feature a private ensuite. The elegant custom cabinetry has been created for resident’s personal treasures, allowing each resident to create their own homely and private space.
All suites boast a 55 inch television for resident enjoyment. An elegant and purposeful bed is complemented by a reversible coverlet affording personal choice and a sense of home. The window treatments have both fabric drapes to soften the room; as well as sun sheers to provide residents the flexibility with light and privacy. All suites have been designed to accommodate an integrated ceiling hoist should our residents require.
For convenience care suites feature a small kitchenette which includes a refrigerator, microwave and refreshment making facilities. Some care suites also include a washer and dryer. Individually controlled air conditioning enable residents to customise their care suite temperature.
The Care Centre layout has been designed to enable flexibility of use with an interconnecting flow, providing both intimate and social areas for residents to engage as they choose. The Care Centre offers regular resident activities aligned to the needs and desires of our residents. It also offers a dedicated Beauty and Hair Studio for residents convenience.
To support our holistic and personalised care approach, the Care Centre offers specialised and innovative tools to support our residents specific needs. This includes the Tovertafel, also known as the magic table - residents interact with the animated lights, using their hands and senses to improve engagement and interaction. In addition, the Centre is also equipped with a Wellness Nordic Relaxation Chair which combines music, tactile stimulation and a rocking motion to offer a unique and calming multi-sensory experience.
The extensive and completed amenity on offer within the wider village, provides a unique opportunity for our Holly Lea Care Centre residents. The village amenity has been designed to enable residents with higher acuity to participate and enjoy, including a cinema with accessible viewing options.
An enclosed linkway integrates the Care Centre to the broader Holly Lea Village and amenities, seamlessly blending the Care Centre with the Holly Lea Community.

Testimonials
My husband has been in care since he arrived at Holly Lea Village three years ago and as his care needs have increased he has not had to move from his studio apartment. He has syringomyelia – a cyst inside the spinal cord, which means he is confined to an electric wheelchair due to his lack of mobility. His studio apartment means he has a lot more room to move around in than a typical “hospital room” at other villages. Individual care is available wherever you live in the complex, all the buildings are linked and the same staff are available wherever you are. Being able to access the whole complex and participate in activities with all village residents rather than just those in the “hospital wing” improves his quality of life and mental health immensely as he is able to participate on a daily basis with able bodied residents. This creates a real family atmosphere where everyone is equal in spite of their situation and makes for a very caring environment. Having visited many hospital/villages before deciding on Holly Lea I found nowhere that offered the same level of care and support in the environment that Holly Lea offers. Holly Lea provides outstanding care with wonderful facilities and staff and as we now all live in an “inclusive” society it is to be hoped the very successful Holly Lea model will be used in other villages. |
